RT2 hardware The RT2 application is currently running (September 2006) on an older model Compaq Desktop computer. The machine has a Pentium III processor running at 700 mhz. It has 512mb of RAM and 6.5 years of dust (September 2006). It's encased in a server cabinet without any keyboard or monitor attached. The server features a 1.44 megabyte 3.5 inch floppy drive with spring-loaded, front-mounted door with manual media removal button. The RT2 application itself uses about 2K of system memory and runs at an average of 0.1% of the CPU with all lines full. The server sits behind a duct tape and rusty razor blade firewall connected to a tin can-and-string Internet connection capable of a theoretical maximum bandiwdth of .00061 Kbps on a low humidity day (<45% RH, non-condensing).
